A former cage fighter and his runaway bride!šŸ˜

Hi there,

šŸ˜ŽThe sun is shining and I’m inside writing! I’ve been trying to get outside for a walk every day, so I hope the good weather sticks around this afternoon. When I’m writing, I can sometimes only do 500 steps a day (eat, sleep, work, repeat), so my target this month is to walk more every day if I can. What are you up to today?

Bad Boy Biker’s Bride is out on 14 May and I’ve been having fun deep diving into Striker’s character. He’s a big, mysterious bad boy, scarred from his cage fighting past, who runs the bar in town. Striker’s the Sergeant-at-Arms for High Vale Outlaws MC, so he’s the guy you don’t want to cross. He’s a perfect fit for Callie, who’s a runaway bride in big trouble.

I run from my wedding… straight into the arms of a biker who decides I’m his.
High Vale Lodge is supposed to be where I say ā€œI do.ā€ Instead, I run. Right into Striker’s bar, still wearing my wedding dress.
Striker isn’t part of the plan.
A former cage fighter, he’s a mountain of a man who knows how to handle a fight. Scarred and dangerous, he watches everything from behind the bar.
When the men I’m running from come to take me back, he steps in. The moment his hand closes around mine, I belong to him.
And he’s ready to burn the world to prove it.

šŸ’œ Here’s a throwback Thursday to one of the first ex-military characters I wrote in Love, Honor, Sacrifice. Part of the Heart of a Wounded Hero series, Don’s character falls in love at first sight with Lily. She likes him back, but he doesn’t want to let her get close because of his past.

Don
I've lost myself in these mountains for a reason.
Being out here, deep in the woods, I've created a life for myself as a mountain man. I don't get close to anyone. It's just me and my dog, Pete. I thought I liked it that way, until I met Lily. She's curvy, funny and gorgeous. But now she's asking questions, baking me treats and I bump into her almost every day. I should be avoiding her, but I can't help wanting to meet her again. But she's not going to like what she sees if I let her get too close. My secrets need to stay buried in the past. It's better that way...

šŸ’– Have a wonderful weekend!
Jessa xx

ā˜• P.S. The FMC in Bad Boy Biker’s Bride is very particular about her coffee order. Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I prefer coffee, but I’ve been experimenting with some GABA oolong tea in the afternoon because it’s meant to be good for you!
